Get a transparent PNG sticker of yourself
Every StickerStudio sticker is delivered as a PNG with a transparent background and a white die-cut border around the drawing. That makes it easy to drop onto chats, stories, slides or a print layout without cutting anything out.

The photo

One sticker made from it
Step by step
- 1
Generate the sticker
Upload a photo of yourself and choose an expression. The background is removed and the border is added automatically.
- 2
Download the PNG
Use Download in My Stickers. You get the full-size PNG, not a screenshot or a compressed preview.
- 3
Check transparency
Open it on a dark background, for example in a slide or design tool. You should see only the sticker and its white border, with no box around it.
File details
- Format: PNG with an alpha channel (transparent background).
- Shape: a square canvas, currently 1024 × 1024 pixels, with the die-cut sticker centred inside.
- Border: an even white outline that follows the silhouette.
- No watermark or logo.
Keeping the transparency
Transparency is lost when an app converts the image to JPEG, which many apps do when you send a picture as a photo. Send the file as a document or add it through the app's sticker tools instead. Screenshots also lose it, so always use the downloaded file.
Printing
At 300 DPI, a 1024-pixel image prints at roughly 8.7 cm (3.4 in) across, which suits laptop or water-bottle stickers. Print shops that offer custom die-cut stickers can usually cut along the white border. Ask your printer whether they want a PNG with transparency, and check a proof first.
Tips for a better result
- If you need a different size for a platform, resize from the original download rather than from a resized copy.
- Do not upscale much beyond the original for print. Larger prints soften.
- Keep the white border. It is what makes the sticker readable on dark and busy backgrounds.
What StickerStudio won't do
- StickerStudio does not print or ship physical stickers.
- There is no SVG or vector export. The file is a raster PNG.
- You cannot switch the white border off.
Other ways to do it
If you just need the background removed from an existing photo, free background removers and the iPhone Photos lift tool do it well. StickerStudio is for when you want an illustrated sticker of yourself, with the cut-out already done.
How StickerStudio makes the sticker
- 1
Upload one photo
A clear photo of one person, face visible. JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 10 MB. It is kept in your private library so you can make more stickers from it later.
- 2
Pick expressions
Choose from 60+ captioned expressions such as LOL, WTF, Monday, Heart Eyes and Send Help, up to 10 at a time.
- 3
The AI draws each sticker
An image model redraws the person as a cartoon in that pose, adds the caption and a white die-cut border, and removes the background. It runs in the background, so you can leave the page.
- 4
Download the PNG
Finished stickers appear in My Stickers as transparent PNGs with no watermark. Download them as often as you like.
Questions
Why does my sticker have a black or white box around it?
The app you used converted it to a format without transparency, often JPEG. Use the original PNG from My Stickers.
Can I use the PNG in my own designs?
You keep the rights to stickers you create, as set out in our Terms of Service, so you can use them in your own projects.
